Hexagram 60 · Water over Lake

Water held within the lake — the banks that give a river its power.

Limitation is the boundary that gives shape: measure and restraint that make energy usable. It reads as the wisdom of good limits, which free rather than confine — so long as they are neither too loose nor too harsh.
